These terms cover the Currentfold reader on the web and in its apps. Currentfold is operated by Tommy Riska in Norway. There is no company.
The reader
Currentfold is a reader for sources you choose. It fetches articles and pages on your behalf and keeps your reading state. It does not write the articles, and it does not endorse them.
Your account
You need an account to use the hosted reader. Registration may be open, by invitation, or closed. Keep the sign-in to yourself. You can export your data and delete the account from Settings — email, the word DELETE, and your password; in the iOS app when it is used, deletion is there too. If you are the owner of this deployment, transfer ownership first — that owner account cannot be deleted while it still owns the instance. We may close an account that breaks these terms or that is used to harm the service or other people.
Sources
You decide what to follow. Publishers’ own terms still apply to their material. Do not use Currentfold to break those terms, to overload a site, or to pretend the fetching is something it is not.
Acceptable use
Use the product as a reader. Do not probe, disrupt, or overload the service; do not share access in a way that looks like a public proxy; do not use it to send spam or malware. App passwords exist for your own reader clients, not for running a public proxy. The first-party API is for Currentfold’s own apps.
Availability
The service is offered as-is. It may change, break, or stop. There is no uptime promise.
Payment
There is no paid plan. These terms do not cover payment.
Privacy
What is stored, who else is involved, and how to export or delete it is in the privacy policy. That page is part of using Currentfold.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Currentfold is not liable for what publishers write, for feeds that disappear, or for data you lose if you have not exported it. Mandatory consumer rights where you live are not limited by this paragraph.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that affects your account, the date at the top changes and the change is spelled out. Keeping the account after that is acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree, export your data and delete the account.
